About DCU International Academy
DCU International Academy is the language-training arm of Dublin City University, offering English programmes alongside university pathways and IELTS testing. Adult study options include General English, examination preparation, Business English, university-oriented programmes and a work-and-study route. Its short-term General English course provides twenty hours of teaching per week, normally over two to eight weeks, and accepts learners aged eighteen or above. Students enrol on selected intake dates rather than starting every Monday. Courses focus on communication through task-based lessons, with opportunities to take part in social activities and university life. The academy can arrange host-family accommodation throughout the year and student residence accommodation during specified summer periods. Most teaching takes place at the university's Glasnevin campus, although other locations may be used during busy periods.
