English exams explained
Which English test does what, and how to tell the exam from the course.
English proficiency exams prove how well you use English for study, work or migration. Each is accepted in different places and scored in its own way. Here is what the main exams are and who each suits.
An exam is not the same as a preparation course or an exam centre. You take a preparation course to get ready, sit the exam at a test centre, and the result is your proof of level. A school can teach preparation without being a test centre.
