About The Slaney Language Centre

The Slaney Language Centre has taught English in Wexford town since 1999 and operates from Channing House on Rowe Street Upper. Its core adult General English group programme consists of 20 lessons, equivalent to 15 full teaching hours each week. Students can join on most Mondays, with placement testing before arrival and weekly progress checks. The school also offers extended 25-week study, individual tuition, group visits, family programmes, teen camps and teacher-development options. Its published 2026 General English rates vary by course length and season, with registration and book charges listed separately. Accommodation choices include local host families, self-catering rooms and information about private short-stay options. The school makes a useful distinction between standard group tuition and combined group-plus-private lessons.
